The Shark Tank Pitch
Amusement park nostalgia solves a father's problem when entrepreneur Israel Schaya turns a childhood frustration into a hit toy. Growing up, Israel was always too short to ride bumper cars at amusement parks - and years later, as a father of six, his own kids faced the same barrier.
Bumpeez was his answer: a rideable, rechargeable inflatable bumper car that brings the full carnival experience directly to children's playrooms. Each unit features an inflatable character riding on top - available in Dinosaur or Unicorn designs - with LED lights, music, and authentic collision effects that make the home version feel every bit as exciting as the amusement park original.
Designed for children 18 months and up, Bumpeez includes a five-point safety harness, adjustable speed settings, a parental remote control for peace of mind, and an inflatable body that deflates flat for easy storage. The retail price is $149.99 on Amazon against a production cost of approximately $52.
Israel and co-founder Michael Bergida entered the Tank with already-proven market demand: $520,000 in sales within just nine months of launch, driven by their established Amazon pet and toy business that generates more than $7 million per year in revenue. They sought $100,000 for 10% equity to accelerate the growth of what was clearly becoming a breakout product in the interactive children's toy space.

Where Are They Now?
The Bumpeez pitch on Shark Tank Season 16 Episode 11 produced one of the more dramatically negotiated toy deals in recent memory. Entering with an ask of $100,000 for 10% equity, Michael and Israel demonstrated the product with kids riding the inflatable bumper cars around the Tank floor.
Kevin O'Leary made the first offer at $100,000 for 30% equity, then lowered it to 25% - still too much for the founders. Barbara Corcoran and Robert Herjavec teamed up to offer $100,000 at the requested 10%, but the entrepreneurs tried to hold out for additional sharks to join, a move that backfired when Barbara and Robert briefly withdrew their offer in frustration.
After a tense reset, the founders proposed a revised structure: $100,000 for 15% equity plus a $5 royalty per unit on the first 50,000 units sold. Barbara and Robert accepted - returning with a final deal of $100,000 for 15% equity (7.5% each) plus that $5 per-unit royalty.
Post-show, Bumpeez sold approximately 400 units per month on Amazon and launched a Shark Tank Bundle featuring both the Dinosaur and Unicorn editions. The Toy Association recognized Bumpeez as one of its Top 25 STEAM Toys, cementing the product's credibility not just as entertainment but as developmentally valuable play for young children.
